This page describes what happens on www.crawleyac.org.uk itself, covering only the mechanisms confirmed in this site's build and the absences confirmed alongside them.
Visit Counting
When a visitor arrives from a search engine, the site records a small set of details: the page path, the type of event, the name of the referring search engine, and the text of any outbound button that gets clicked. This happens through a first-party visit beacon sent to an edge analytics endpoint on the same domain. The only purpose is counting page views and outbound clicks for the operator's own traffic figures. A session view flag in the browser makes sure a single page view is only counted once during that visit. Alongside this, the site notes the country reported by the content delivery network for the request, with nothing more precise about location.
Search Referral Cookie
One first-party cookie is set, but only for visits arriving from a search engine. It holds nothing except the name of that search engine, lasts for up to one hour, and is used solely so that a later click on an outbound link can be matched to the search engine that brought the visitor here. It is not used for tracking across sites and carries no persistent identifier.
Pages and Links
The pages themselves are self-contained: every file a page needs, including locally embedded fonts, is served from this domain by static hosting on a content delivery network, so nothing loads from an outside host while a page displays. Outbound links to third-party sites work through a first-party outbound redirect: the link points first to a path on this domain, then redirects to the partner. No stored visitor data is shared with the partner as part of that redirect. Once a partner site is reached, that separate site receives the request directly from the visitor's browser and keeps its own record, which this page has no part in and no control over.
What Is Not Collected
There are no forms on this site, no third-party analytics, no external subresources loaded from other domains, and no contact channels. No names, e-mail addresses, account identifiers or payment details are collected. There is no login, registration or user account, no other browser storage, and no persistent identifier beyond the two mechanisms described above. Because none of this personal information exists here, the site has no basis to ask for consent, set up an account, or request personal detail from a reader.
